yep did all that, just keeps failing...tried all 8 usb ports and three different usb cords still fails so I'm stumped...might try local install as a last resort.

i can try that but im not currently using the foot controller so then it would be 5 & 6 or is there another combo to use on the Helix? 1 & 6?

Well, I tried that and figured I'd start with 2.71 instead of a big jump right to 2.82 - - - it started, said it failed and i followed instructions to try again only it now said on Updater that it was 2.71 instead of the 2.21 previously but when I looked over at the Helix there was only gibberish code on the screen I'm assuming meaning a corrupt update so I tried the factory reset with 5&6 to start over but even that hasn't worked so I'm stuck now worse than I was before...any ideas???

New to these products and it's operation so came here to get the correct methods to complete these task since I plan on loading a lot of presets and packs until i start making my own so... I purchased " Metal Through The Decades' Helix Preset Pack" thinking it would be the easiest to get acquainted with the software and formats. Getting it into my helix seemed pretty straight forward, downloaded the HX Edit, purchased the pack, extracted them all and then import in a fresh unused slot. But I got an error message that I screen shot and attached, anybody that can help just put it out there and I'll give it a try. Thanks...
