By following the instructions you have the new factory presets briefly and temporarily. The firmware update itself does not install them. They are installed when you perform the factory reset, but then are immediately overwritten when you do a full Restore from Backup. in order to retain the new factory presets you need to deselect them (remove the check mark beside Setlists 1, 2, and 8 in the exploded Presets list) during the Restoration procedure.

I considered describing exactly how to do that but it's simpler to just provide them directly.

Yeah, I did not restore from backup after the reset just so I could try the new presets. But they weren't there.

Since it seems to be affecting all audio, I would tend to think that it's a computer issue, rather than the Stomp itself... but you can always try a different USB port. USB hubs sometimes create problems too. If you're using one you can try ditching it and see if the problem persists.

It also happens when not connected via USB and on headphones. So it is affecting the main output and headphone output, independently of any USB connection.

  3. Every now and then I get this cutting out of sound that lasts about 10-20 seconds and goes away. Usually I can never catch it because it goes away by the time I grab something to record it. I finally caught it, just grabbing my phone for a quick video. In this case I had a backing track playing when the sound started cutting out (so it affects USB sound and guitar sound). At first I thought it may be a power supply issue but I tried the supplied adapter and still get the sound cutting out. Anyone have this issue? Video link below.
