Hey guys I just recieved my HX stomp today and after hours of searching I haven't seen a clear answer on my situation. I record simple guitar cover videos for fun to post for friends. Typically I've plugged my guitar into my Focusrite scarlett Solo then I record using the guitar rig 5 software in Reaper where I also load in the backing track that I play along with. Then I'd just auto sync the "studio" recorded audio to the camera audio that was recorded via my speakers. Otherwise I'd just use headphones.
I've tried setting my HX up as the interface but when I do that I can no longer load my backing track into Reaper as the HX is now the interface. My other method was to try to plug the L/Mono output into the Scarlett solo. I set both the output of the HX and the input of the Scarlett Solo to line. However when I do that the volume on the HX is very very very low. Turning up the gain on my output block only caused my interface to clip.
I am using some pretty small home speakers to monitor so I'm not sure if that effects it. I used these same speakers via the headphone out and I have plenty of volume using that method.
I'm a complete newbie to the product so there may be an easy solution here or some obvious things that I'm overlooking. That or maybe I'm trying to do something that's not possible with my little set up.
