I've been struggling with this issue ever since I started using my HX Stomp with both Cakewalk and Reaper.
What I'm doing: Running the guitar into the right input on the HX stomp, sending signal through send and return blocks(an EQD Plumes Overdrive, Boss Metal-core, Boss HM-2W and Boss Noise Gate) and then sending that to a DAW via the only output option which I believe is "out 1/2".
What I want to do: Take the wet signal (pedals engaged), send it to a track in reaper, and then apply an effect to that track (THU Randall T2 Clean). I want to monitor the end result (output from THU) only, no dry signal.
I've tried monitoring from both the laptop (directsound) and the stomp ASIO. When I try monitoring on laptop, I don't hear anything. When I try monitoring through the Stomp, I only hear the stomp signal with pedals but not the output from THU. There also seems to be a very quiet "dry signal" I can hear if I turn the preset output volume on the stomp all the way down.
I'm just trying to figure out what I need to change on the stomp and in Reaper's main/track settings to be able to use the Stomp for routing the pedals into the DAW, and the VST as the amplifier.
