I am building this board with the Helix Stadium XL as the brain and a Morningstar ml10x loop switcher to use with some analog drive pedals as well. What I am trying to figure out is how in command center I can program a footswitch on the Helix to turn on or off a loop of my morningstar ml10x and SAVE its state via snapshots. I have gotten this to work on my HX Stomp but does not seem to be working with my new Helix Stadium XL. On the HX Stomp i got this to work by going into command center, selecting the footswitch I would like to control and creating a CC toggle on the Base channel sending cc#20 dim value 0 lit value 127 set to latching type. I set this up in like 30 seconds and works like a charm saving my footswitch lit and dim states across all 3 of my snapshots. CC20 is what toggles the loops on and off on my ML10x fyi. On the Helix, I have tried several different methods in order to get this to work. The only way I have gotten scenes to save which loops I have turned on and off on my ML10x is by inputting values manually as instant commands but not via a footswitch. The instant commands is also very cumbersome and not ideal for making edits on the fly. Basically when you input the correct CC values on a footswitch it will indeed turn a loop on are off but will not save its state across the snapshots even when I have it set to “snapshot control.” Basically, if you turn it on the footswitch to its lit state it will show up lit in every snapshot and vis versa. Not sure if this is a bug or if I am doing something wrong but it is indeed working on the HX Stomp which makes me think it is a bug on the new Helix Stadium. One thing I would love to see on the Helix Stadium is an option to turn the tuner automatically on when you turn down the volume pedal. This is something Fractal can do in its setting and is SUPER useful to guys that do midi patch changes. Tap to tune isn't really an option because if the set is going and you are tuning before a song or mid song and midi sends a pc/cc message it takes you out of tune mode and volume is live. Hoping this can be a future update.

Would be a nice firmware update if possible for the touring guys!!!

Yes I added a boss tuner in front but would love to take it off the board so I can add a different pedal...space is always limited lol

Is it possible to keep the tuner on and muted while you change a preset? My band runs tracks and I run midi cable to change my presets and snapshots. But if the drummer changes starts an intro of a song while im tuning the tuner will disapear and my rig will make noise when Im trying to tune

Is it possible to route an HX Stomp to run "pre" mono effects (filter, pitch, dynamic) in Loop 1 of PCB 10 and then have stereo wet effects in the last loop of the switcher? Pre/Post style routing basically... Wonder if 4 cable method type setup with the HX Stomp send and returns would work for this? Here is the routing I'm thinking: Loop 1 (mono stomp effects) Switcher send to return of HX Stomp and send of Stomp to return of switcher Loop 2345 (analog drives) Loop 6 (stereo post stomp fx) Send of switcher to input of stomp and left and right out of stomp to return 1 and 2 of switcher? And I’ll need to be sure to add a Send/Return L block in the stomp to separate those paths?

Who has experience with putting drives in the 4 loops of the Helix? I currently have all my drives in the 1 loop of an HX Stomp and don't hear a noticeable difference between in the loop and directly in front of Stomp. (I use a real amp setup btw) I am thinking about upgrading to Helix Floor because of 4 independent send and returns. That way I can use my helix almost as a loop/pedal switcher to turn off and on multiple drives and change snapshots at the same time with one footswitch. I feel like this would be easier to program and adjust than a Boss es-5 or rjm mastermind. I have heard mixed reviews on the loops and am confused about the A to D conversion going on when putting drives in loops. Does the same conversion happen on es-5 or rjm mastermind? Also, I know Helix floor is not true bypass, and am a bit worried about possible tone suck? I use good input and output buffers on my board but am just a little skeptical about putting a giant nontrue bypass pedal on my board haha. Others have also said loops are noisy... I know this is a loaded post so gear nerds go nuts... Just want to make sure I'm making the right decision before dropping a bunch of cashhhhhhhhhh... Thanks in advance yall.

Ok, messing around with the stomp I am seeing what it can and can't do. I guess my only other question is there any way to setup a CC message to go to the Edit view? CC#71 is for all the different Play views from my understanding. Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply! So it seems like in Scroll mode there is no problem and will keep you in edit mode if you manually select it. However, in Preset mode it will knock you out of edit mode and go back to play mode if you use the bank up or down functions... Not sure if there are any solutions to this or not.

Hi, I am trying to figure out if there is a CC message to swap between Play view and Edit view? I just bought a MIDI baby and I am trying to set it up so one press I can go to Preset footswitch mode and then the next press so I can go back to Edit View mode. I have it setup now so one press goes to Preset footswitch mode and then the next press is Stompbox mode in Play view. Problem is ironically I don't like playing in Play mode because I like to be able to adjust settings on the fly if I need to. Thanks!
