I am looking to add one of the catalyst models to my gear. I would like to hear some samples of the 2x12 and the added depth it will add to the low end to see if its something I would want to consider paying more for in my situation over the 100 1x12. Unfortunately, after searching the web I have yet to find any of the marketing demo's using the 2x12, its always just kinda sitting in the back while the 100 or 60 is mic'd up. There is a huge difference in my California tweed using a HB 2x12 vertical stack over the 1x12 in the mesa's combo.
I am looking to add the amp to my home studio for reasons that having another 12 wouldn't matter, but if I am buying one anyway and I like the sound more when I am recording with mics I would rather spend the extra money and upgrade.
