I have a Helix LT and soley use snapshot mode for my band. Different present for each song, and different snapshots for the parts of the songs that change multiple parameters. Due to the fact i play the bass guitar and have a bass path as well as two 'guitar' paths from it utilising pitch shifters, I use a lot of the blocks on the Helix LT, as well as a lot of DSP with 3 amp blocks running. I also sometimes feel i need more footswitches for snapshots within a song.
So my question is, is it possible to control a separate midi connected HX effects with my Helix LT, but to do so within snapshot mode? Im aware I could just have an FX loop block in my signal path on the LT, and sit the HX in that loop, causing it to come on with the pre-programmed effect running, and this would all be snap-shottable in the regular way, turning the FX loop block on and off. But can I go further...?:
Can I have my Snapshot on the LT trigger a snapshot within the HX?
Could I expand the 8 snapshots I run in a preset in the LT to utilise the DSP and 6 footswitches on the HX to essentially have 12 snapshots, changing blocks and parameters on both machines with one press on either the LT or the HX - will they talk both ways?
Could a preset change on the LT change a preset on the HX?
Would love to know what the midi possibilities are here with running two units, and what level of control each could have of the other. Bear in mind that for my performance set up I will only ever be in Snapshot mode on the main Helix LT, so the Midi messages it sends need to be programmable to a snapshot on that unit.
Many thanks for your wisdom and insights!
