  1. Haven't used my Bass Pod XT Pro in a while. When I powered the unit up - I'm getting the screen seen in the photo. Not the basic screen with the A B C D over the soft buttons. How do I get out of this and back to normal...?
  2. Now that I am running my Bass Pod XT Pro as a rack pre amp into my bass amp's Effect Return - it is bypassing pretty much all of the amp's controls. This particular amp head only has volume (i.e. Pre and Post Gain) control in front of the power section. I'm finding that what sounded uniform through headphones... sounds a bit varied running out the back of the Bass Pod XT Pro. Some patches are louder than others - which wasn't that apparent in headphones. Maybe they were leveled equally. I don't know. As for the rear connection - I am using the Unbalanced Analog out, in Live mode. Front panel Output knob is roughly on 9. Since I cannot raise or lower the amp head's volume to compensate... I presume it has to be done through the Pod Pro. But if I tweak a Pod knob - it immediately goes to Edit mode. Does that mean I can only raise volume by going into the patches themselves, tweaking the output level to taste, and then re-saving the patch...? I was hoping to just reach for a knob and adjusting on the fly while playing live, without "permanently" changing the patch.
  3. I have a Bass Pod XT Pro that I bought from Guitar Center. When using it as a practice amp, through headphones, I have no complaints. I can select patches with the rotary Select knob, in either direction. Now, I'm running it as a "pre amp" into my bass amp's Effect Return. Sounds fine for the most part. However, the Select knob is not stepping through the patches sequentially. It will skip some, or go into Manual mode at any given time. Glitchy, in other words. Doesn't feel like the pot is worn physically. Electronically it's not hitting every patch in order. For example, it might go from 12C to 1A in one click. Going counter-clockwise is better, but not always perfect. The pot is not wobbling or anything. Also, the 4 soft buttons are not letting me select the A B C D channels of a bank. I'm not in Edit mode, so what's happening...? My question is - before I open the unit up - has anybody experienced this besides me...? Does the pot need a spray of electronic cleaner perhaps...? OR is it time to replace the pot...? (And where do you get one...?). Will an FBV solve my problem (assuming the FBV is working perfectly)...?
  4. UPDATE: Thanks to a Line 6 phone representative - the solution was to save an existing patch over the glitched one. I did this to both glitched patches. The Editor then loaded up, and I replaced the duplicate patches with others. However... the same thing has now occurred again. The Editor tries to load all the patches - and stops halfway through. Says things like Not Connected. Etc. I've changed USB cables, and rebooted both the POD and my computer. Re-inserted the USB cable, and same problem. I did the trusty "Save Over" fix again... and this time the Editor still won't load the patches. Now what...?
  5. I have a Bass Pod XT PRO. Last night I was loading and editing custom patches. This morning, I turned it on, and two of the patches are glitched badly. When I start the PC Editor - it stops halfway into loading the list of patches. I think it is because of the two bad patches. How can I clear those two patches using the buttons on the front of the unit? Not edit them - but wipe them. Because I cannot do it via the Editor on my PC if it won't finish loading all the patches. I have turned off the Pod and turned it back on. Reconnected the USB cable. Still messed up. I've also hit the Refresh button in the Editor. Still gets stuck during loading of patches. I don't want to do a factory reset - because I have hours of work into the rest of the patches - and don't want to start over. These patches play fine. But I want to get back into the Editor and continue tweaking. Mike
  6. Mike - could you point me to the one that you used online (if you can remember)? There are so many choices out there, and I'd like to be sure I get a proper replacement. Was it something like this one... https://americas.rsdelivers.com/product/myrra/44128/9v-ac-2-output-through-hole-pcb-transformer-2va/1739721 I assume it has to be 9v output... and not 10v... Thanks, Mike
