What can the Helix Effect Send and Return be used for, besides 4 cable method/amp effects loop? Are they the same as 1/4" main outputs? I put a (passive) guitar into Return 1, and nothing (of course). I tried a powered speaker through Send 1, and could not tame the noise. Despite a noise gate and, instrument level output, and guitar pad on. Would like to hook up recording devices effeciently, without splitters/wyes. Thank you
