  1. @rd2rk what is the purpose of the gain knob if I’m going to keep it at 0? When would you increase the gain?
  2. @rd2rk you got it! I thought the gain knobs were the volume knobs so I always had those at around 12 o'clock. I turned them down to 0, raised the volume on the hx stomp and raise the monitor volume knob on the scarlet and nows its much better. Thank you!
  3. @rd2rk Thanks for your reply. 1. The Hx stomp does not support XLR out, only 1/4 2. Both set to inst 3. I don't know what you mean by this, can by more specific please. 4. Yes
  4. Hey guys, I hope someone out there can help me with this. When I I send my HX stomp signal directly to my studio monitors or my headphones I have very little feedback, there is a small amount but I can handle it. Just a little white noise. Maybe thats to be expected? But when I send my HX stomp signal into my Focusrite Scarlet 212 then into my headphones or studio monitors I have major feedback, enough that I can't play my guitar on low volume with a clean setting. Its that bad. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? Thank you! Elliot
  5. @cruisinon2 Great response. Thank you. I really don't know much about EQ but it sounds like I need to learn what it is and how to do it. Any tips on how to get good at it? Just practice I suppose? I am really new to this world and my ears are not developed enough to know which levers to adjust.
  6. @rd2rk my room is pretty small. I live in a small apartment and I am using a small office as my studio. The office opens into my bedroom so there is a little more room there. Do you think the speakers I bought are Cheap crap? I paid C$800 for them. I have no problem spending more if I need to. Here is a link to what I have. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/iLoudMTM--ik-multimedia-iloud-mtm-powered-studio-monitor
  7. Hi there, I recently purchased an hx stomp for playing at home. I send the stomp signal into a Scarlett 212 audio interface. Then the signal is Is sent to my headphones and my studio monitors ( iloud mtm). I’m pretty happy with the tone and sound I get with headphones but when playing through the studio monitors the sound is uninspiring. It just sounds dull. I’m thinking about buying a small set of pa speakers for home use but I’m not sure if this is a good solution for my problem. I really wanna feel the crunch of the guitar when I play Metallica songs. Has anyone tried to use small pa speakers at home with their helix? If so, how is it? is this a viable option?
