  1. This should help. The Spider V series has seen several firmware updates over the years, each bringing new features and improvements. Here's a general timeline: Initial Release: The Spider V series was launched with firmware version 1.0, introducing its core features like amp modeling, effects, and USB recording. Firmware 1.5: This update refined the amp models and effects, improving sound quality and adding new presets. Firmware 2.05: Released in 2019, this update introduced the "Classic Speaker Mode," improved presets, added preset labeling, and integrated cloud features for sharing tones via Line 6 CustomTone. Spider V MKII Update: This software update allowed original Spider V amps to be upgraded to MKII specs, enhancing functionality and sound quality. Also, is it normal for the amp to take a few seconds to start up? - Yes, it has always taken a few seconds for my Spider V 60 MKII to start up. Bill
  2. Understood, to my knowledge the only way would be to switch between presets A, B, C & D to create the ability control multiple effects with a single button. Example: Preset A - Fender Twin with reverb (clean) Preset B- Fender Twin with reverb. compress, EQ, Boost & an overdrive I am not a POD or Helix User, but I believe both of these products can do what you have said. Sounds like you should contact Line6 on your question.
  3. I have an FVB3, and I am not sure what you mean by "Scenes in a preset". Basically, you can do the following: control the presets banks by pressing the up and down arrow keys. control the 4 presets within a bank (A ,B,C and D) turn on and off effects, the FS1, FS2, FS3, FS4 and FS5 keys (these control compression, stomp, echo, modulation and reverb) control tap tempo for the delay with the tap button. use the function key to engage the looper and tuner. Attached is the link to the FVB3 Manual - Line 6 Manuals There are a lot of short videos on the FVB3 on YouTube. Bill
  4. Hey, I love the Fender Twin Reverb with 2X12 Blackface Cabinet (Classic), I uploaded a tone called "Fender Twin Blues Shuffle Clean" to Custom Tone. To answer your question PEQ is part of the Spider Remote Application. Turn the PEQ off to see what a big difference PEQ makes, you can shape your tone to your liking. The link below does a great job explaining Audio Frequencies - Audio Spectrum Explained - Teach Me Audio Bill
  5. I have a couple thoughts for you to consider: This is a good video from YouTube where user that has replaced the speaker in his Spider V 20 MKII. Just remember the Speaker is 4 Ohms' My second thought is to use the 4 Band Semi Parametric EQ shape the tone to your liking. Another good video from YouTube. Hope this helps. Bill
  6. Q: How do I perform a factory reset on the Spider V20 version? A: Hold all three FX, then press and release save while the amp is running. Hope this helps. Bill
  7. Hello, I posted this in the Facebook Spider Users Group last year. Russ, Rolando, Craig and Bill, Thank you for all of the advice. Being that this is for practice there are less cost options than the Line 6 Relay 10T/II, I think I will take look at other options. I have included a few links on the subject from Youtube (Scott Uhl - I like his content especially regarding MIDI.) What You NEED To Know with 2.4Ghz WIRELESS Music Gear - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCrFKKr8WUA What Is The BEST CHEAP WIRELESS SYSTEM - Part III - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRmmgrQoHZU I will let you all know what I decide on and how it works. Thanks !! You can join the Group to see more comments, just search wireless. Since you have a 30MKII, you need a 3rd party solution, but think you already know that. I bought the following unit from Swiff Audio. Amazon.com: SWIFF High-Grade Electronic Guitar Wireless System Rechargeable Guitar Transmitter Receiver Support Multi Channels and 5.5 Hours Long Battery Life for All Electric Musical Instruments : Musical Instruments I would say it works ok, but most of the time I just use a cable. 12. Hello, To update the Spider v 120 to a MK II you need to go to the DOWNLOADS section and install the Line 6 Updater, it is pretty simple to upgrade the software. Second there is a thread in this support section titled "Basic Tutorial for the Spider Remote App" that can help you with the Spider Remote App or search Youtube. Hopefully this helps. Bill
