  1. So in the HX Effects, when I disable the FX Loop, I should get no sound, right? But when I disable it, I can hear my guitar quiet when I play, like the sound is leaking through. But it sounds like a DI guitar, no amp/cab sims. But all my sound SHOULD be going through the FX loop, right? So the fact that I can still hear my guitar when I disable the loop has me thinking something is going on.
  2. Forgot: When I switch to a different scene on the HX Effects (which also changes the bank of the BigSky), the reverb mix trail of what I was playing JUMPS UP in volume to probably where it normally should be. But when I start playing, the mix goes down to barely able to hear.
  3. Hey, I have BigSky + Dual Tonex in the loop of my HX Effects. So basically, HX Effects (Stereo Send) -> BigSky -> 2x Tonex Ones -> HX Effects (Stereo Return) I am using MIDI to control different BigSky presets. But the wet mix of the BigSky is barely there when I have it in this configuration.... I can barely hear the reverb, but if I take it out of loop and play by itself, the wet mix goes back to normal. Looking online, looks like people have had this issue with Kemper and QC when running the BigSky, but not sure how to fix it with my HX Effects. Any thoughts?
  4. Oh and yes, using dual ToneX can introduce phasing issues. One profile may have a latency of 1.2ms and the other may have a latency of 1.6ms. Even as small as 0.1ms can cause some phasing. I likely won't be running dual ToneX until IK adds a feature to set the latency at a set amount, like set both to 1.7ms or something like that. In the meantime, I will set up the board and get everything working then introduce the 2nd tonex when they fix that.
  5. Okay good point about the strymons. Honestly I'd be happy to drop both strymons if the HX Effects can give me what I am looking for. I am just including the strymons because every P&W/CCM guitarist has them.... and my main style would be P&W stuff, like big reverb stuff and love me a good shimmer etc. Interesting about the 15ms... I have only ever used an all-in-one rig like Kemper, so I never considered all this stacking latency stuff. I may try it out and it bothers me, or maybe I won't even notice. Never know until I try, right! But I guess my biggest takeaway with this is that the setup I showed in the diagram CAN work, but I just have to see if the latency will work for me.
  6. Great point! What is the latency of the HX Effects? Maybe 3ms? just guessing. The ToneX one is ~1.5ms. So maybe 3ms for HX -> 1.5ms for Tonex -> 3ms for HX again? So I'd have to see if 8ms is too much for me to handle... plus any additional latency of going to FOH maybe?
  7. Hey all! First time posting, not sure if this is the right place. I have only every used an all-in-one board solution but now I am branching out to a dual ToneX with HX Effects. I would like the HX Effects to handle some stuff at the beginning of the chain (comp/octave/etc), but also wet effects after the ToneX. I came up with a block diagram that MAY work, but once again this is my first time messing with send/return/4cm/etc. See below block diagram. I may remove the timeline/bigsky if the HX Effects wet effects are good enough. Can I SEND a mono and then RETURN a stereo? Then OUTPUT a stereo? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Thanks in advance!
