I plug directly into a Walrus Audio Jupiter fuzz pedal and then go into the HX Stomp. Could that be the problem?

Cab isn't the issue. I had an EVH 5150 III running into it before I switched to HX. That amp was bright and I had to watch the treble and presence. Totally different story with all of the amp models in the HX Stomp.

Have not tried this. I'll have to do that and report back with results.

Just running an amp block. Nothing else. No Amp+Cab or Cab block in chain.

I have an HX Stomp going into a Seymour Duncan Powerstage into a cab loaded with V30's. I have to almost max the presence and treble inside amp models and also move the treble knob on the Powerstage to 2:00 position just to get it to sound good and not like a blanket is on the speaker. Is this normal? Because it seems very odd.

Quick question. Do you use preamp or amp block with a power amp like the Powerstage?

Thanks for all of the replies, everyone. I just picked up a Powerstage 170 for $250 used. Hopefully, it works out and is good enough for both bass and guitar rigs.

Does it color the sound? Or introduce any increase in noise floor?

That one looks nice. Probably have to buy used because it's a little pricey brand new.

Hello. New user here. I've been running it through the effects send into my EVH 5150 50w head, but I plan on selling it and going solely with the HX stomp into a power amp. I'll be running it into a 1x12 Zilla oversized cab with Celestion V30. I also have a Mesa 2x10 bass cab that I use when jamming on bass guitar. I'm strictly a bedroom player. So, I don't need anything fancy. Just something that works good. Nothing real expensive, but also nothing that isn't junk. Thanks in advance!
