  1. I have a Nektar NX-P, which has an attached cable with TRS. The Stomp XL Doesnt allow you to set FS8 to nothing, and if it's set to EXP/FS Ring, then as you plug and unplug it, it alternates from EXP1 to 2 with each pass of the ring and sleeve. It's super confusing. At the moment I can get it to default to EXP2, but then I'm also able to set up a test patch with both FS1 and FS2 controlling the same parameter on 2 volume pedals, but another patch with FS2 doesnt respond at all. Global settings has Preferences: Exp1 - EXP/FS Tip, EXP 2 - EXP/FS Ring. Ring Polarity Normal and in EXP Pedals EXP 1 and 2 Positions are both set to Preset. It's just confusing and complicated enough that I end up not using the expression pedal most of the time. what's the solution? A pedal without the sleeve connector? Different settings? How can I have 1 patch with Exp1 and 2 both working , another with Exp 1 working, one with Exp 2 not working and new patches default to Exp 2??
  2. I found where to reorder in HX edit. In the far left column
  3. Is there a way to order favorites through HX edit? I find it weird that the editor shows favs in category order, and on the device it's seemingly random / chronological. To reorder them in a sensible way takes a really long time scrolling and using encoders. Why the disconnect between interfaces?
  4. Not sure why I didnt see this. It's in the screen menu and HX edit, just not the manual (by keyword anyway)
  5. I've seen the linear / logarithmic setting mentioned for the Helix, but no sign of that in the Stomp XL manual or menus. I'm using a Nektar NX-P, and while it works ok, the transition from heel down is very abrupt. Is there a setting to control the response? I know you can set min / max levels for volume / wah, but that's kind of a different thing.
  6. Ah thanks, this is a helpful bit of advice
  7. Hi, a couple of questions regarding the looper functions on Stomp XL. To delete the loop the manual says press and hold the footswitch after having double tapped to stop the loop. But when I do this I get the playback of the loop for about a second before it deletes. Am I missing something or is this a really just a bad design choice? Also, considering capacitive switches are on the unit, couldn't the looper be controlled with a touch only, and not a full switch press? If I am looping with microphones the acoustic noise creates a problem. This has been known with loopers for a long time, and is why the Echoplex had silent footswitches for example. I know I could control it with Midi, but it seems capacitive switches for the looper could be added to a software update?
