  1. Does anyone have experience connecting their helix to an amp using the FX loop?
  2. I had mine for a few weeks and am just now getting in to IRs. It is amazing what can be done with the Helix and I know I'm just scratching the surface. It good to have this users group where guys like me can learn from experienced users like yourself.
  3. Saschafranck and Codamedia , thanks! My IRs are indeed there. I simply didn't notice the IR Select knob. Duh. I still have much to learn.
  4. Thanks for your response. When I select either sample length no IR's come up. The screen just goes back to the preset screen.
  5. Hi, I need some advise in getting IR's I've downloaded from Helix Edit onto my Helix floor model. As far as i can determine from the users manual, they should load on to my floor unit automatically when I import them into Helix Edit but if I go into block selection/Implse Response, all I see is 1024-sample IR and 2048-sample IR. None of the IR's I've downloaded into Helix Edit show up. Is there something I'm missing?
  6. All, thanks again for the useful input. I made the suggested adjustments to my mixer and changed the global settings on my Helix (xlr to mic level, etc.) and was able to get even volume levels out of my mixer when i switched from xlr to 1/4" helix outputs. So I feel pretty good that my supposed problem has been resolved!
  7. Thanks guys, as soon as I get a chance I will try out/experiment with these suggestions. I wasn't aware that the xlr out put had another level adjustment other than instrument or line level.
  8. Great input, thanks! I will give your suggestios a try.
  9. Hi, I'm a newbie to this user group and helix. I have a question that someone here can help me with. I typically have been using xlr into a mixer with the volume set to about 10 o'clock on the helix. If I swap out the xlrs to 1/4" to my mixer with all settings remaining the same, the volume drops to almost nothing. Both the xlr and the 1/4" are set to line level. So the question, shouldn't the volume remain the same or is this volume drop normal?
