I'm contemplating getting HX native. I'd like to be able to play around with tones in a DAW and then transfer settings back to my stomp for live use.
I'm thinking to record an extra unprocessed signal from the stomp by using a send block right at the start of my chain going into my audio interface. What I can't get my head round is if I boost the signal on my audio interface preamp (which I'd usually do when gain staging any other input) before hitting the DAW amp sim, won't the amp sim behave differently to the one in the HX stomp?
What's the best way to approach this so that the amp sim in my DAW receives the same input as the block in my stomp?
