  1. Should the Model Selector knob make a distinct, physical "click" sound when pressed down? I have just removed the plastic cap/knob entirely to test it. However, even when pressing directly on the bare metal potentiometer shaft, there is absolutely no mechanical click or tactile feedback. Is the switch inside supposed to click, or is it a silent/non-clicking button?
  2. When I insert a fresh fully charged battery, the LED indicators on the guitar light up and show a 100% full charge (4 green lights). However, the Model Selector knob LED does not light up at all when I press it or try to activate the guitar. The pickup on guitar works perfectly when I connect it through 1/4 Jack to the audio interface so I still can use it as a usual electric guitar.
  3. Hello everyone, I am having a serious issue with my Variax Shuriken SR250 and need your advice. While trying to do a factory reset and update the firmware, my guitar's battery suddenly died right in the middle of the process. The update was interrupted, and now the guitar seems completely dead. Here is what is happening now: When I connect the guitar to my Mac/PC using the original VDI-USB interface box, the software (Line 6 Central, Line 6 Monkey, or Workbench HD) doesn't see the guitar at all. The device list is just empty. The light on the USB interface box flashes red as soon as I plug the cable into the guitar. I tried the standard recovery trick (holding down the model selector knob while plugging it in), but nothing happens. The guitar doesn't respond to anything. Since the battery died during the factory reset, I am afraid the internal memory is completely wiped or corrupted. Is there any secret way or button combination to revive the guitar at home? Or is it completely bricked, and my only option now is to take it to an authorized service center? Thank you for any help!
