  1. Actually a two questions. First. TBH when I bought Cat I didn't like it. Everything changed after some time. Now I like it. I explained this to myself that default presets were crappy and that after some time and learning I made(or download) better ones. But recently I found some discussions on the internet with some people claiming that this amp sounds better after some time of using. Now I wonder. Is it possible? If yes, how it is possible? Second. I wonder what do you like the most in this amp? I've heard that most people like clean tones. Actually I still don't like then that much. The best clean tone I made for me is actually on chime amp type. Don't like aristocrat and archetype that much. When I compare it to clean on my Spark Neo, the Spark wins. Cleans are beautiful there. Also I don't like high gain settings. Actually I don't like high gain amp type at all. It's the worst IMO. But that's where most people agree. It is not for extreme sounds. But in my opinion where the amp shines the most are low and mid gains settings. It's amazing considering the price. So what are your pros and cons of this amp. What do you like the most and less after all those months or years with this amp?
  2. Why someone has copied my topic and post exactly the same what I wrote some time ago? Word for word literally the same. BTW. Now i see how my English is so bad. I regret that I didn't pay attention at school :(
  3. I asked Line 6 Support about this issue. I was told to do factory reset. This has solved the problem, at least for now
  4. Just like in the the title. I have 2 USB 3 ports in front of the PC, some USBs 2 in the back and 4 hubs of USB... well theoretically 3.2 in the monitor. I wrote theoretically because when I plugged the web camera there was still the warning from the camera that for better performance I should connect it to USB 3. So not sure now why, but anyway I always connect Catalyst to one of the hubs on my monitor, because PC is too far from amp. But now I wonder what is best for Cat. Should i plug it directly to the PC(not monitor) and what type of USB should I choose for recording? Most of the time I plug Cat to my closest USB hub on monitor(next to Bluetooth USB transmitter which is probably bad because I just found this statement in the monitor's manual: So If I understand this correctly I should connect Cat to different port not that one that is adjacent to BT transmitter . Also when I asked Google what generation of USB is best for recording Catalyst here is the answer AI gave me: Is that true? I know that sometimes AI is lying. Should I use USB 2.0? If that is true I will have to rearrange my room because all of my USB 2 ports are in the back of my PC
  5. Thank you for explanation. I will investigate this subject more. I have noticed that this effect occurs mostly on Voltage amp. Other amp models do not cause such a big effect on my ears even with treble cranked up
  6. I am trying to make my tone loosely based on Iron Maiden sound. Here are my current setting I could like this setting overall but there is a problem especially when playing louder( 1/2W, master volume around 4- 5 - it is quite loud ). Although the power chords sounds good the violin strings especially on higher frets sounds way too harsh and it hurts my ears badly. When i turn to volume down there not as big problem and it doesnt hurts my ears so much. I can also cut down the treble and it fix this but kills overall sound. Is there any way to remove this harshness without cutting the treble?
  7. This is newer version I think. Chocolate plus
  8. So am I the only one? I think it happens when amp is connected to the PC and Cat Edit is open
  9. So I want to start recording and looks like Catalyst and Reaper works great. But my problem is I want to hear sounds from Reaper through my computer speakers not Catalyst. Right now every sound like metronome, or backing track that I loaded to Reaper goes through Catalyst. I don't want this. Is it possible to do that?
  10. I've noticed several times a bug while changing preset(manually for sure, didn't use footswitch for a while so cant say about it). From time to time, not always after changing preset the delay note setting changes to sync - whole(my setting is 1/4 sync ). have you also experienced this?
  11. Thank you for explanations. I was confused because in article I've read the author used the these terms interchangeably
  12. What is the difference between level knob and mix? Shouldn't be both the same?
  13. I never understood the hype over relic guitars. I know that there are people who pay extra for them and that's odd for me, but... no one will pay me extra for relic amp :( Besides it has only one year and I think i treat it well. Maybe not if I am the only one person who have all this "dots" appearing all over the front grille. First I thought that's production defect of Cat and that's why they replace this grille with new one in CX. But if you don't have this problem than it is not that case. I wonder if such a thing would affect the price if I would ever wanted to sell it
  14. The first picture looks quite normal, it is better visible on the second https://ibb.co/DwctXFb https://ibb.co/Wx57CzV https://ibb.co/nMxpHCJ Still it looks much better on this photos than in reality. Also In dark it still looks cool, but in sunlight terrible
