  1. Bad news. None has change. HerÄ™ is what answered me suuport:
  2. You will have to install some files manager to do this and yes, copy your preset to that folder. But there is a problem. With Android 13 update, access to data folder has been restricted. Right now I don't know any workaround. It seems little complex. So it sucks. Looks like using Cat with android is very limited now :( Probably a PC or Ipad is better choice
  3. Hi. Some guy asked your question here. Check around 11 minute. Unfortunately I still don't know. This guy who is answering that question seems not sure but looks like he suggest to use looper in FX loop. So maybe it is worth trying. Sadly I cant check this for you. I don't have looper and other pedals to check. Maybe try to contact Line 6 support. They had been always answering my questions. I can send them message because in the future I could be interested using looper with Cat, but you should better describe the issue with looper than me
  4. I am not sure if I was asking this before. I know that i have asked this somewhere, but this was before my pause from guitar. Anyway, once more :) I really like how Catalyst sounds(although I had a bad start with it at the beginning but that was mostly my fault, nvm) but the problem is that it is quite loud, very loud for a home usage even set on 1/2 W. I am not living alone, so don't have much time when I can use it as I like. That means... loud :). And I don't agree with some saying that it sounds the same on every volume level. I think that actually it sounds the best when it is set quite loud. When I am alone I usually play with volume somewhere in the middle or even higher. But that's when I am alone. Usually I am not. So i really want to play it on headphones. And here is my question. What is your experience with headphones. Do you like how it sounds? For me the sound it awful, but, I don't have studio headphones. I have only "regular" headphones. Marshall Major IV. Changing MIC settings helps a bit, but still it is awful sound. What I know from difference between "regular" headphones and studio, that "regular" mess with sound by modifying it. Studio headphones should be more flat, and be able to more accurately replicate the original sound. So maybe that's the main problem. Probably all of you use studio headphones, so I would like to hear your opinion about how Cat sounds with them, before I will eventually buy and try one.
  5. Maybe stupid question but what is TGP? Where can I find this? EDIT: The Gear Page?
  6. This topic is not 100% related to Catalyst itself but maybe some of you are using tablets for recording with Cat...I plan to change my samsung galaxy tab s6 lite someday. It is very good tablet overall but not so good in recording especially with multiple apps like Cat Edit, Audio Evolution Mobile and Spotify for example running together. Any one could recomend something in midrange price tag. What I need is something stronger than my S6 lite couse obviously its to weak to handle multiple tasks and recording. But I aslo wonder what operating system would be better android or iOS?
  7. Is there any one who could share with some nice Iron Maiden tones. Especially something from Fear of the Dark album and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son but can be some others too Also I'm looking for Nightwish tones mostly from Tarja era like Century Child, Wishmaster and Oceanborn albums. If there is no one who could share with his tones than maybe some advises how to set up my Cat to sound anything close to those?
  8. Hi! Can you still share some Hendrix tones? I know a lot of time has passed. I had big crisis in learning and almost sold my beautiful Epi and Catalyst but now I'm back :)
  9. You have to move your preset from download folder on your tablet and place it in: Andorid>data>com.line6.catalystedit>files>Line 6 Catalyst>Presets. Install some better file manager than Samsung's default and make shortcut for Cat's presets folder to quickly move files there
  10. I really would like to help, but since I'm almost complete noob I can't give you any advice :( From what I've learned you would need a Fuzz pedal for Hendrix sound so not sure if you can replicate that on Cat without that pedal
  11. OK, so I bought BOSS Mt2. It works fine with Catalyst both in front of an amp and in FX LOOP. What stroke me the most is that it not only sounds different but also the pedal and the knobs behave also much different. I didn't test FX loop much yet but I think it's easier to use that way but also it has much narrower range of sounds to set. Used between the guitar and amp it seems to me much complex to set something but it's more rewarding in wider range of different sounds. The knobs are very sensitive and there are many interactions between them that I don't fully(well to be honest not even partially) understand. When I used it for the first time, set everything to noon and then start playing with the nobs, the sound was terrible, just like many haters report. But after reading some guides and experimenting I already found some nice tones for starting point that already sounds to me better than Cat's hi gain amp, which I don't like the most in this amplifier. Probably I made bad choice purchasing this as a my first pedal ever(maybe better choice for the first time would be some Joyo distortion or something like that- seems much easier to use) but overall I'm happy. I thought it will be worst after reading some haters. However using Cat with this pedal is becoming more complex right now since I have to made separate clean channel for Metal Zone - which is mostly flat and not usable as a regular tone since it sounds like crap. So right now if I want to play some heavy riff on Metal Zone with Cat's effect off and then change to some nice clean channel with some effect I have to hit switch on a MT2 to disable it, than hit channel switch on LFS2 to change this flat clean tone to something better and then hit effect switch to turn on effect on my clean channel. That's 3 buttons! My god that's too many for me. I don't know you guys handle this especially with more effects or big pedalboards??? Respect for that, really
  12. I want to try Boss Metal Zone Mt2 with Cat. But what I've learned about this pedal it shouldn't be used as a regular distortion pedal rather then that is should be used as a pre amp. It sounds best in effect loop or directy in to power amp. I never ever used effect loop so far so i will be something new for me. In this video Ola Englund is hooking MT 2 directly in to FX loop of his satan : But correct me if I'm wrong. He hooked the guitar in to metal zone input and it's output directly in to FX return (no FX send). Am I correct? this is how should I do it?
  13. Hi again. Didn't play for a while because I have had problems with my guitars, I had to gave them to the service many times but finally they are brought back to life and I can play once more. Didn't test your Cult presets much yet but I do like your Heartbreaker preset... but... IMO it sounds too heavy on my Epi Explorer. It sounds much better on my Charvell strat but even then i like to turn the volume down a bit on my guitar. Otherwise wise I like it. But have you tried boutique amp? I think it is great for classic rock songs. It is right now my favorite amp model in Catalyst. I used Richie Cat Grit preset as a starting point and it is amazing on both of my guitars. Maybe this is not Led Zeppelin sound but it sounds great! Anyway i saved this one and yours in my amp. I will work with both of them. Thank you
  14. Thank you very much. I will check them tomorrow
  15. I will be grateful. Yes I have checked the Custometone and found there some very interesting presets. Some of them I don't like but some of them I kept. There is one that I use to play Led Zeppelin or other classical rock songs that can be good starting point. Don't remember its name but it uses Boutique and I like it. It sounds really nice with my Epi Thunderhorse Explorer with Gibson Burst Bucker pickups especially with the coil-tapped bridge pickup. Really nice rock & roll sound.
  16. I see your point. Any advices on Led Zeppelin tones with Cat btw ? :)
  17. Looks interesting. What bluetooth midi controller would you recomend for this? HoTone Ampero Control for example?
  18. I agree. I think Line 6 shoot oneself in the foot with Catalyst. I understand that some people can be happy of it but I don't see what was the goal of some of line 6 decisions and to whom this amp is dedicated. For beginners and home players? It's too powerful. For musicians playing live? too limited as you said.
  19. Maybe this could be a solution :https://pl.aliexpress.com/i/4001202281136.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2pol
  20. ok, I really don't understand what are all those nerves for, really. The problem with Line 6 to me is not that they didn't clearly stated that I can't use 3rd party loopers(although they have stated that I can use external pedals without a problem and Cat should handle them) the problem is that line 6 "design" some things, as I understand, completely opposite to what competition did with their amps and didn't inform about that anywhere and I don't see any reason for this. Probably I did bad research before buying, probably that's is true, but I did some, and up to now I wasn't aware of Line 6 strange "design decision" abut how the amp behaves when changing presets(to my it is defect not intention, I don't see any reasons why it works that way, maybe you can tell me) and about the FX loop position, which, once again, as I understand correctly is "designed" in different way than competitors amps. Maybe there are some pros of such design but I don't see any unless you can tell me. Lastly. I'm asking you friendly, can you explain me without the nerves something that Line 6 IMO never explained anywhere: what this amp is not and what is intended to be?
  21. Thank you. Looks like you have "solved" the problem somehow. As I understand I can use looper with Cat but what I need is external overdrive/distortion pedal and all the onboard effect set to "pre-amp". I wanted to try overdrive/distortion pedal in the future anyway but looks like it's major drawback of this amp anyway.
