I never understood the hype over relic guitars. I know that there are people who pay extra for them and that's odd for me, but... no one will pay me extra for relic amp :( Besides it has only one year and I think i treat it well. Maybe not if I am the only one person who have all this "dots" appearing all over the front grille. First I thought that's production defect of Cat and that's why they replace this grille with new one in CX. But if you don't have this problem than it is not that case. I wonder if such a thing would affect the price if I would ever wanted to sell it

OK, I am not sure how this is called in English, I think it is the frontal grille, this mesh(?) covering the speaker from front. It is one year after the purchase, and it starts to look terrible especially in sunlight. I don't know whats going on. It is not a big deal it still works and sounds great, but... it strange for me. It is only one year, never used outside house. What will be after next 5 or more years. I just wonder what your experience with this. Do you have the same problem or is it just me? I made some photos, unfortunately, it is not visible as good on my camera. Also don't have much sunlight right now. It is far more visible in sunlight.

Is it normal that even on the same settings this two amps models differ so much in volume levels? I just made my clean tone using Clarity amp and just wanted to compare it with Archetype. I changed only amp model didn't touch anything else only amp group. The difference is huge: Clarity is much louder than Archetype, why?

Yes, I did install Pod Farm and all the drivers and I think I did it correctly. POD works with my headphones(but I don't like the sound) but for some reason not with my computer speakers. The main reason i wanted to use POD with Cat beside compering the sound is that POD Farm has much larger custometone base than Catalist including sounds of bands and artists I am interested in like David Gilmour for example. I wanted to see and hear them and than try to recreate them on Cat if they were good

My friend gave my this old, but never used device so I just wanted try it. I have some problems with using it with my speakers but I have Catalyst. I know there should be a way to connect POD to it but i don't know how. I to do everything from this video: and it doesn't work with Catalyst or I am doing something wrong. I was even so stupid that I tried to connect POD to Cat through Aux in but all I achieved was mess with my presets stored in Amp(only delay settings changed, don't know ) luckily I didn't broke anything. I tried also to connect Pod to guitar input as in the video but that is not working too. Any ideas? It is an old device, but it is a gift so I really would like to try it :)

Hi. My friend gave me this oldie, but never used device. So i wanted to check how does it work. Unfortunately I don't have an FRFR Speakers so I wanted to plug to the device my computer speakrs to see how will it sound. After this no sound from speakers. It works with my AKG headphones but no sound from computer speakers. So my question. Is it possible to plug regular computer speakers to GX and will it work? Also I wonder if my Catalyst 60 amp could work here as a speaker. If yes, how can I connect my Cat with POD GX?

Hi. I have encountered a strange thing about Vintage Delay effect. Maybe I don't understand something but i used the same effect settings on two different presets with two different amp models and the delay is not working correctly. In fact I don't hear any delay with this settings, I think there is only reverb. I have uploaded a WAW file. The first sound you can hear is my preset and the second is downloaded preset from Custometone. I have copied the exact delay settings from it to the first sound. In first sound there is no delay, and the second is working correctly. What I noticed the manual mode of delay works but not sync, so conclusion. Its probably not a bug but something with the sync mode which I don't understand what is it. I am learning about effects. Vintage Delay.wav

Ok, I think David uses a lot of effects so it would be difficult to replicate his sound with just two of them, but I would be really happy of anything close to it. Any advises or floyds presets? Right now I am mostly interested in sounds of Shine on, Hey You or Comfortably Numb. But can be anything...

OH, I forgot about this. Thnx for advice. I am testing Voltage and 2204 MOD right and both I like the most for Iron Maiden. But still straggling to find some really good HEAVY(real heavy) and power metal sounds. I like distorted sounds of Catalyst and it is good and enough at my level but still think that something is missing with them. Not sure if buying some distortion pedal would solve this. I heard that open cabinets are worse at hi gain than closed cabinets. Is that true?

I have installed latest Driver 2 for Catalyst and I was able to play Guitar Pro sounds through Cat but something strange has happened with the sound. Everything except my guitar sounds like it was in different tuning. And sometimes Cat don't want to play music. I have to remove it from USB and plug it in once more. What's going on, what i did wrong? I just installed official driver

Ok, this is probably bad place to ask, I should post this in some Guitar Pro forum, but maybe someone will know how to solve my problem. I want to play with Guitar Pro with sound played from Catalyst speaker or headphones with Cat) but than I have error with audio device. So i go to preference tab and set everything as on a picture but it is still not working. Something is wrong with device option. It is set to "Standard" and I can't change it. There is only standard options whatever it means. Any ideas how to fix it?

You will have to install some files manager to do this and yes, copy your preset to that folder. But there is a problem. With Android 13 update, access to data folder has been restricted. Right now I don't know any workaround. It seems little complex. So it sucks. Looks like using Cat with android is very limited now :( Probably a PC or Ipad is better choice

Hi. Some guy asked your question here. Check around 11 minute. Unfortunately I still don't know. This guy who is answering that question seems not sure but looks like he suggest to use looper in FX loop. So maybe it is worth trying. Sadly I cant check this for you. I don't have looper and other pedals to check. Maybe try to contact Line 6 support. They had been always answering my questions. I can send them message because in the future I could be interested using looper with Cat, but you should better describe the issue with looper than me

I am not sure if I was asking this before. I know that i have asked this somewhere, but this was before my pause from guitar. Anyway, once more :) I really like how Catalyst sounds(although I had a bad start with it at the beginning but that was mostly my fault, nvm) but the problem is that it is quite loud, very loud for a home usage even set on 1/2 W. I am not living alone, so don't have much time when I can use it as I like. That means... loud :). And I don't agree with some saying that it sounds the same on every volume level. I think that actually it sounds the best when it is set quite loud. When I am alone I usually play with volume somewhere in the middle or even higher. But that's when I am alone. Usually I am not. So i really want to play it on headphones. And here is my question. What is your experience with headphones. Do you like how it sounds? For me the sound it awful, but, I don't have studio headphones. I have only "regular" headphones. Marshall Major IV. Changing MIC settings helps a bit, but still it is awful sound. What I know from difference between "regular" headphones and studio, that "regular" mess with sound by modifying it. Studio headphones should be more flat, and be able to more accurately replicate the original sound. So maybe that's the main problem. Probably all of you use studio headphones, so I would like to hear your opinion about how Cat sounds with them, before I will eventually buy and try one.

This topic is not 100% related to Catalyst itself but maybe some of you are using tablets for recording with Cat...I plan to change my samsung galaxy tab s6 lite someday. It is very good tablet overall but not so good in recording especially with multiple apps like Cat Edit, Audio Evolution Mobile and Spotify for example running together. Any one could recomend something in midrange price tag. What I need is something stronger than my S6 lite couse obviously its to weak to handle multiple tasks and recording. But I aslo wonder what operating system would be better android or iOS?

Is there any one who could share with some nice Iron Maiden tones. Especially something from Fear of the Dark album and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son but can be some others too Also I'm looking for Nightwish tones mostly from Tarja era like Century Child, Wishmaster and Oceanborn albums. If there is no one who could share with his tones than maybe some advises how to set up my Cat to sound anything close to those?
