  1. I recently experienced dropouts when rehearsing at a friend's house for the first time. As the manual says, the #1 culprit is 2.4Ghz wireless routers. She had one that was on in the rehearsal space. Turning it off eliminated the problem. That being said, I just performed in a club that used a 2.4Ghz signal to do their sound control remotely from an iPad. I was concerned I'd have to resort to a wired cable, but everything worked during sound check, and the show went off without a hitch.
  2. I found a work-around if anyone else has this same problem. 1. Do a backup 2. Unplug USB, then do a factory reset (Power up holding down the C & D footswitches). 3. Create your default state New Preset (it can have a different name). 4. On the Save screen, hold down Action and press Knob 5. 5. Reload your backup. Even after reloading the backup, all of the New Presets remain with all of your tweaks.
  3. I tried doing a factory reset after backing the unit up. Then the procedure works. I reloaded my backup. Now it doesn't work. Grrrrrrr....
  4. No to both questions (I started with a "hacked" preset removing the FX Loop), but I just tried a much simpler test case. I added a Looper to a blank block on a New Preset, saved it without changing the name, and then did the "New Preset default state" procedure. It doesn't work either.
  5. From the manual: *TIP: There is a handy trick you can perform directly on your POD Go device to change the default state of all “New Presets”... Dial in a preset exactly how you like it and from the device’s Save Preset screen, hold ACTION and press Knob 5 (Save). Now every “New Preset” will be your custom default preset. You’ll have a great starting point to create new original tones. I've tried this and it doesn't seem to be working. After pressing Knob 5 there is no confirmation that anything happened, and all of the New Presets remain the factory defaults.
  6. The Pod Go's global settings has an option for the Amp output so the signal is after the amp block and before the cab block. The reason it doesn't sound awful is because you then are relying on the FRFR's actual cabinet & speaker (and/or speaker model) - hence, it sounds like an actual "amp-in-the-room".
  7. I called Line6 support and went through troubleshooting with Josh. The problem was due to the fact that the Volume pedal block position was set to 0. I don't recall touching that parameter, and even if I did, it doesn't explain two things: 1) Why snapshot 3 continued to work, even though the position was 0 for all 4 snapshots, and 2) Why the preset worked after powering up the Pod Go. I sent a backup to Josh and he's going to try to figure out what's going on. As far as the dimmed display of the input block parameters in Pod Go Edit, Josh confirmed the issue and that those parameters should never dim, and said it's likely a bug.
  8. Not sure if this only applies to the Line6 PowerCabs, since they can either run flat FRFR or with speaker emulation, but... If you run with cab emulation to your FRFR: Pro: You hear what the audience hears. Con: It's not the same as the sound and feel of the amp by itself. Without cab emulation to PowerCab speaker emulation - Amp-in-the-Room Speaker Modeling Method Pro: Sounds like you're playing through an amp and you're in front of it. Con: Audience isn't hearing the same thing that you are.
  9. As a relatively new owner and after spending a lot of time R'ing T F M, I set about to create my first preset & snapshots. I started by copying the factory preset 22D Shining Star, did some tweaks, and then created 4 snapshots. Things seemed to be working fine until I played around with the Input Gate settings (although I can't be sure that's what caused the problem) For some bizarre reason now, all 4 snapshots work correctly only after first powering up the Pod Go. But as soon as I switch to any other preset and then back to mine, Snapshots 1,2 & 4 are dead silent - only 3 works as it did before. I can find nothing in the snapshots themselves that look out of place, but the fact that it always works correctly after turning the PG off and then back on seems to indicate a bug. Any suggestions on how to fix without starting from scratch? (Unfortunately, the export I had saved has the same bug.) Also, there's what appears to be another relatively minor display bug with the Input Block in Pod Go Edit. When you select any preset and switch to the Input Block, the parameters in the Edit Panel are "lit up" regardless if the Input Gate is on or off (the same as other blocks are when they are enabled). But when you switch to another snapshot, the parameters are all dimmed (like other blocks when they are bypassed), and stay that way regardless if the gate is on or off.
  10. I found it helpful when evaluating all of the factory presets to get an idea of what artist/song they were taking inspiration from in trying to duplicate the sound. Most are obvious from the preset names, but some aren't. If was wrong about any or you have any ideas about ones that I didn't figure out, feel free to add to the list. This are the Version 1 preset numbering. 11. Got it, thank you, I see that now. But the only way to press the patch selection again in one step is if you're already in Preset Footswitch Mode. If you're in Stomp or Snapshot Mode or in Edit View, then you have to switch to Preset Mode first.
  12. Yes, I'm familiar with the snapshots feature. I was just wondering if it's possible to change parameters on the fly and in one step revert to the original without having to go through the additional step of creating the snapshots. Maybe it's not possible?
  13. Thank you for the reply. Actually, I have a Pod Go. I do see that selecting the same preset on Pod Go Edit does revert to the saved preset. My question is about on the Pod Go itself. If I tweak the parameters on the 5 knobs below the display, I'm hoping there's a one step method to reverting everything back to default.

  15. Newbie question - after I tweak some parameters, is there an easy way to revert to the saved preset, other than switching to another preset and then back?
