  1. You can go from input to path A to path B to output, which gives you double processing power, which means double as much FX blocks.
  2. Hello! I have a Helix Rack, bought it a few months ago. Everything fine so far, but since yesterday the Preset Knob does not work anymore. When I turn it, it feels normal. You can feel and hear the clicking as it goes from step to step, but it does not change the presets anymore. The display just flickers, but stays on the same preset. No matter if I turn left or right. I switched the Helix on and off for a few times, also did a whole factory reset. Nothing helped. Andy ideas what I can do?
  3. Hello! I see many people talking about DSP load on the Helix. Some modules use more DSP, others less. I own a Helix Rack. After creating a new preset with some different modules, how can I check/see the DSP load? Is this even possible on the Rack, or does this only affect Helix Native? Thanks in advance!
  4. The "warmth" of a guitar tone does not only depend on amp settings. A big part of your tone comes from your guitar, especially the pickups. On my Helix, any patch sounds different with different guitars. E g. my LTD with Seymour Duncan pickups sounds completely different than my Ibanez with Infinity pickups. Maybe this does not help you much in the moment, but always be aware of that fact when you watch YouTube videos. Different guitars, different pickups, different sound.
  5. Hi there! I have a question for all the people who use their Helix for recording. I have a Helix Rack, bought it mainly for recording in my small bedroom studio. My DAW is Reaper and I own a ton of VST instrunemts and plugins. But back to guitar. I have created a lot of presets on my Helix, some with many FX, like Delay, Reverb, Chorus and so on. When you record a guitar track, do you record it with all the FX from the Helix, or do you record the dry Amp/Cab tone and add FX later in your DAW? I know, both has its pros and cons, just want to hear your opnion about this topic: Thank you!
  6. Thanks again for the answer. I think you are right, maybe I am overthinking things.
  7. Thanks for the answer. No, there is no processing of the audio going through the Helix. Everything fine. But I meant something else. As soon as I turn on the Helix, a preset and therefore all the blocks in the preset are loaded and present (ready to make sound when I plug in a guitar and start playing). What I meant by a "global bypass" is to turn off all the DSP processing inside, so it just works as a sound card. Nothing else. My thought behind it is to (maybe) save some energy when you don“t need it. Right now, I have simpy created an empty preset, which I select when I only need the Helix as sound card.
  8. Hello! I hava a Helix Rack and use it as audio device for my PC. All fine so far. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that when I do "normal things" on my PC, I have to turn on the Helix to have audio - of course. But then there is always a preset loaded and therfore some processing going on. Is there a way to put the Helix in some kind of global bypass mode? So that it only lets audio signlas through (from PC to speaker/headphone) but does not do anything else?
