    i have the same problem. I have a legacy variax 500 which im looking at connecting to workbench (non HD) but i keep getting a flashing red light on the side of my USB interface unit connecting to the Variax . (The computer side connection has a steady green light. New batteries installed in my Variax so its not a battery problem. Any ideas? Thanks
