I'll be playing with pod xt live every thing sounds normal with my settings then something and it will go ito a high treble sound with squelling feed back . any sugetions? could it be the power supply beaking down losing voltage

What causes a pod xt live makes the guitar frequency high all the sudden turn off and on and it goes away. it doesn't happen all the time. I'll be playing along with the band and all the sudden evething goes haywire, the guitar amp goes to high gain frequencys. wondering if it a low voltage drop on stage are it needs a new power supplie for the POD? Anybody had this problem.
