The real issue is that you need to create the right environment so Windows can detect the Helix again and let Line 6 Updater talk to it. Modern Windows has built‑in device protection that can block a corrupted device from reconnecting. So even though the Helix was just working, once the firmware gets corrupted, Windows basically refuses to enumerate it. That’s why it disappears from Device Manager and HX Edit.
