  1. I can't quite figure this one out. I've got a Tone King Imperial in the FX loop of my HX Stomp. Both the Tone King and Stomp receive midi patch changes. When I switch from one patch where the tone king is on it's Lead channel to another patch where the tone king is on its clean channel there is a momentary spike in volume. Playing along if I simply press the Tone King foot switch to change from its lead to clean channel (not changing the Stomp's preset) it's seamless. The two tone king channels are evenly matched volume wise. Needless to say, without the FX loop on in the stomp there is no issue either. I keep thinking there's some place in the stomp patch path that has a higher gain/volume and when it's changing patches it's writing data in sequence and it changes a parameter that creates a 'hot spot' for just a moment before changing another parameter that brings the volume back down. Just a guess. Anyone have any idea what's causing this? It's a very noticeable spike in volume for 1/2 a second.
  2. I have an HX stomp for a jazz band rig and am thinking of getting one for the bass player. He plays an NS designs upright (with active pickups) and a p bass. I'd like for him to be able to leave both basses plugged into the unit at all times, and have two patches, one for each bass. It would be awesome to be able to have one bass plugged into the left input, and the other into the left return to be able to take advantage of the HS Stomp's input selection capability and have each patch have the input programmed in for the correct patch. Does that work in practice, though? Are there any pitfalls and/or a better way to do it? I assume he could also plug one bass into the left input, and the other bass into the right input, but that might cause impedance mismatch and ground loop issues. Thanks!
