  1. I should have added that increasing the eq from 5-6 also makes a big difference. Looking in the Spider remote app, 5 on the dial is midrange heavy but just a small change to 6 radically changes the balance, with midrange going down and bass and treble up. Helped with the weird tomes on some notes.
  2. I’ve been tearing my hair out trying to rectify the squonky nasal sound of my 20 II with picking on the clearer settings. In the end I just bought a Boss Katana but have actually now found the problem. Both my guitars have humbuckers and, if these are on full volume (as I tended to leave them) I get this weird nasal treble, especially on the B string. However, dropping the volume to 8 or below largely fixes this. Of course, a humbucker will distort at full volume and I’m guessing that the little 20 can’t cope with this (my katana 50 is fine with it). And if course, if I really want a clear sound I shouldn’t be on full pickup volume anyway. Anyway, sorry little 20, all is forgiven. The-in built pre-sets aren’t still aren’t great and I wholeheartedly recommend the settings supplied by Guitar Chalk that I found elsewhere on this forum https://www.guitarchalk.com/line-6-spider-v-20-mkii-settings/ which sound great btw I’m using an Ibanez Artcore AAS93 Semi Hollowbody. I also have an Ibanez AFC155 Archtop which doesn’t suffer quite so much - probably dueb to its lower output humbuckers.
  3. Great thank you :) Could you release my comments here and here please .
  4. Hi all. I bought a Spider V 20 fairly recently and was looking forward to being active in this forum, both learning and contributing. I've replied to a couple of posts that I thought I could help with but both are still showing in red as needing moderation. One has been there for about a month. What am I missing/doing wrong? There is certainly nothing offensive in what I've written - I've just offered solutions that I have found to the questions posed. If I can't get this posted and some answers found I think its giving up time :(
  5. You can turn the tap light blinking off in the Spider V remote app. Connect the amp to your laptop etc with a USB cable and in the main menu select settings and then uncheck the 'enable tap light' box. Its the first thing I did when I got mine as it drove me mad.
  6. I have found that in both Mac OS and Windows the software just hangs when you try to change presets with the arrow key near the top middle. Double clicking on any preset directly just lets you rename it. However, if you treble click on a preset in the list it will load and your amp will play it. You can save these presets, or any new ones you make, to your local computer or to the cloud using the load/save button. I'd almost given up as I was unable to traverse down the list due to the hanging, but when I found that a treble click (I think) on the actual preset worked I was on the road. It may still hang when you select it but I generally find that the first few selections work OK so if you are happy to sit on one preset you should be OK.
