  1. Finally got it to download, damn what a hassle!!
  2. I've been trying to download Workbench for my older Variax's but each time no matter what version I try to download it says "not found on this server". What in the world is happening here? Has Line6 stopped allowing you to access this information? I have Workbench HD for my JTV-59 but it doesn't support the older models. How do I get a copy of the original workbench for my Mac with Snow Leopard? Thanks all
  3. Thanks lollipop for your reply. It's always nice to get help from someone like yourself in a technical aspect. As for me being a Tech, no i'm not but I have several associates that are. As for the "unobtainium" your correct. Line6 doesn't offer them nor support them ..... I checked. As for getting something that WILL work, I have also checked and there are a few companies that do have them available. If I choose I can go that route but my question WAS and STILL IS: can this be done via software tweeks that Line6 had available in previous versions. THAT is why I'm trying to get a Line6 Tech to respond to this topic and NOT all the same replies I am getting about replacing the display itself. Unfortunately I must resolve this issue without Line6's input. It's too bad they abandon a product after they sell thousands of them to the public and then leave them groping around these forums for assistance instead of helping the folks that made their paychecks over the years. I have a repair manual and detailed schematics for the amp so if I feel like replacing the display I'll have it done professionally. And Darrell ..... no problem man, sorry for the sarcasm. My wife says I'm good in that respect for some reason. Also thanks for the link, I'll check it out!
  4. Darrell, Thank you for your wonderful insight into the question I posted. You have been SO helpful. now ...... I know there are only two colors of displays available from the factory AND I know those were green or orange. Mine is orange with black characters being displayed. MY QUESTION STILL REMAINS ........ HOW DO YOU GET THE REVERSAL OF THIS FROM ORANGE WITH BLACK CHARACTERS TO BLACK WITH ORANGE CHARACTERS? It is possible and I have seen it on other models. There HAS to be a way to reverse the display properties on an ORANGE display to show a BLACK background with ORANGE characters or the pictures posted above would NOT be possible. I would appreciate if someone from Line6 or a Technician familiar with these amps to chime in and let me know how it is done. If you don't know the information I am looking for PLEASE do not respond to this topic as I don't need more replies of the OBVIOUS nature. Thanks
  5. I'm no newbe to the amp or with how they work. I know how to adjust my contrast and the temp settings. The issue is with the color itself. There have been ones with the color reversed, I've seen them. There must be a way to do this either in software or display replacement. THAT IS THE QUESTION. Please don't assume someone doesn't know how to adjust their amp correctly. It would be nice if someone from Line6 would chime in on this, they built it and supported it (for a while) and could possibly answer the question. Thanks!
  6. How do I change my display on my Vetta II HD to look like this instead of orange background and black controls? Is this a software change or a complete display change?
  7. Hear are some pics of what I mean.
  8. Hi all, I'm looking for info on how to change the color of my display to the black background and amber controls I've seen in some pictures of Vetta II HD's. Is this possible without replacing the display or is it a complete refit with a different screen? Any help owuld be appreciated! Thanks, Bill
  9. Would like to know if the mainboards are the same in the HD and Combo and if it is possible to add a headphone jack to an HD like the Combo has by just accessing the mainboard connection for one. Any help would be appreciated!
