  1. Hey guys, My HD 500X arrives today and I'm looking forward to setting it up. Was wondering if any of you could give me some direction for integrating it into my live signal flow, or let me know if it will even work the way I'm conceptualizing it. My current setup: Digitech Vocalist Live 5 pedal (VL5), acoustic guitar plugged in to the VL5, dynamic mic plugged into the VL5, mono XLR out (mixed signal of guitar and vocals) into PA. I can control the levels for my vocals and guitar directly on the unit. How I'd like to integrate the 500X: 500X processes my electric for use on certain songs, route the xlr from the mono out of the VL5 into the Mic port on the 500X with an (as much as possible) unaltered signal routed through the 500X. Why? So I can utilize the looper on the 500X with my acoustic and vocals, and potentially have a single xlr cable to send to the PA (no sound man and the mixer is too far away for me to adjust mid set). Why not just plug everything into the 500X? The reason I use the the vocalist is for it's intelligent harmonies, which require a guitar signal to set the root chord for the VocalIQ processor to generate the harmonies and or other vocal effects. So is it possible? And if so how would the signal flow look in the 500X Editor? I understand there will be tradeoffs like the lack of left/right stereo out, but I don't have that now anyway and I usually mix everything to mono anyway for simplicity sake. Thanks for any help in advance! -Jon
