Same problem here. The trem arm is loose enough to hear some clanging as I rock it. Very annoying. My jtv69 is one of the early ones. I believe it's a "type1" trem with no set screw? I just email'd line 6 about getting a new grommet which will hopefully fit better.

My JTV 69 us one of the earliest ones. I believe they call it a version 1 tremelo? It has just enough play in it so I can hear the arm banging around as I rock it especially with high gain but clean too. I;m wondering if replacing the plastic grommet that the arm slides into will help. The grommet has never seemed to fit tightly into the hole in the bridge assembly anyway. Any comments? Thanks guys.
