  1. Yeah, I don't have the budget for that system. Plus, I suck at guitar but I like to plunk around on it thinking i'm a rock star. I'm looking for what would be the equivalent of the GuitarPort, basically. Would that be the POD Studio UX1 or 2?
  2. Thanks for the responses and info! What i'm searching for is pretty simple but the quest to find it doesn't always come with all the answers. So, thanks for your patience. What I need is a replacement for my GuitarPort that does essentially the same thing only not quite so cumbersome. I've looked at other brands such as the iRig UA that allows some degree of independence whereas it can be used on its own or plugged into the PC. Another concern is how I can listen to the output of the device. In other words, my PC currently has bluetooth capabilities to which I have connected some nice bluetooth headphones. However, my fear is that if I connect the GuitarPort or the POD Studio UX1 or UX2 that it will require I go back to plugin style headphones and also have to permanently have the device wired to the PC. But, if push comes to shove, I just want to play my guitar and need a device that allows me to do that since I don't have an amplifier.
  3. Hi everyone. I'm still using the old GuitarPort hardware coupled with the PodFarm2 software package. I'm wanting to upgrade my hardware to whatever the current replacement is for GuitarPort but it's not clear as to what that is. Or, if there even is one. The original GuitarPort basically 'became' your computer's sound card. I really don't want that to be the case with whatever I replace it with. I now have two computers, one with the GuitarPort hooked up. I want to get rid of the need for the 2nd computer since it just takes up room on the desktop for the sole purpose of running the GuitarPort. Does Line 6 offer a similar hardware device as the GuitarPort that works as an amp modeler and acts more as an audio interface for the guitar instead of a replacement for the soundcard?
