Love sound of Helix Stomp but a without dedicated digital out it doesn't play so far well with other sound cards like UAD APOLLO TWIN. Does anyone know of a low costs solution (that works) to covert Helix L/R out to a digital spdif or adat. It needs to be something that will produce its own clock (from my experience). I tried a little $50 converter from Amazon but it will not produce its own clock so the input sound of Heliz has artifacts that make it sound brittle and with pops.
My HD500 had its own digital out so I would use the POD clock and everything was CLEAN with my UAD Apollo.
Any ideas?
