Disclaimer: I am new to the "helix" line. I just bought an HX Stomp after watching numerous demos on Youtube. In building my own presets I was able to construct some decent clean sounds. However, the results in the higher gain amp sounds leave a lot to be desired. The sounds were very "fizzy" and thin. When I loaded some IRs(into the cab block) I bought for a Two Notes unit the HX sounded more like what I heard on Youtube. Is this normal? I adjusted the parameters on the input channel and messed with the high/low cut to reflect what I thought would be the most effective but the mid to higher gain amp settings still sound crappy. Any help would be appreciated.
