  1. Makes perfect sense, DataC. Thank you for this very helpful info. My mistake was having downloaded and installed workbench v1.75. I have fixed that and now all is good. Thanks again for your help!
  2. I installed the newest version of Monkey but just like the older version, it does not recognize my hardware. When I launch Monkey it says "no device detected" although my Helix is connected via USB to my computer. It provided a drop down menu and asks which equipment would you like to configure. But the only option is PodXTLive which i haven't used in years. Also.... Helix Edit works pefectly. I am trying to get Workbench installed and running so I can edit my JTV-59. I have some custom tunings that i would like to import from my older Variax 500. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Andrew
  3. It's still early but it has not crashed since I moved the USB from the front port to the back and I have edited/created about 15 patches so maybe that was the trouble. Thanks again Datacommando!
  4. Oh wow thanks Datacommando... it is connected to the front USB port on my PC. I had not considered that. I will move it to one of the back ports and see if that helps.
  5. All most current versions of Helix and HX Edit as of yesterday. Helix: 3.71. HX Edit: 3.70. I used Line 6 Updater which came with HX Edit I believe. I was not prompted to update any drivers however.
  6. No hubs here. it is connected directly to the computer. Thanks for responding.
  7. Brand new Helix user here, though i have been using Line 6 pedals for many years starting with the POD XT Live about 20+ years ago.... Sorry if this has already been addressed ad nauseum. I did a search but could find no info. I bought a Helix Floor two days ago and have been trying to edit/create patches using HX Edit and the Helix keeps freezing up during simple operations and the only option is to power it down and restart it. When it happends, HX Edit says "Lost Connection" and when i click "reconnect" it says it can find no qualifying prodcts connected. I am connecting by USB to Windows 10 and have the latest Helix firmware update which i just did this morning. I have about 50 patches I need to edit so I can use the Helix live and it really takes a lot of time to have to stop and restart every time it crashes. Thanks for any advice.... Anj
  8. ok let me know if i am understanding this correctly.... Workbench HD is not compatible with my Variax 500 even though i am using the POD HD500 as an interface and if i want or need to use workbench i have to install the older version which won't run on Win 10. does that about cover it? What about Win 7? Will workbench (not HD) run on Win 7?
  9. i would love to have this as well. It would be nice to be able to have Sonar change patches for me during live performance. The general midi file will change the patches as long as all your midi transmit and receive settings are correct but it would need to be edited to the actual patch names within the POD so your acoustic guitar patch won't be named pipe organ or something.
  10. Mint condition, used VERY little, with hard case and all accessories: $750 obo, plus shipping.
