  1. I'm not sure where you got Floyd from, it's a straight up country set lol. The load/IR box is something I never thought of. I'd rather not have to buy more gear but that's a good idea. I did what one of the other responders suggested; one path with 4CM into my amp, another seperate path with all the effects and an amp/cab sim. You're right though, DSP is pretty much maxed and all I have for effects are compression, boost, delay, and reverb. If there's a better way I'd love to find it.
  2. Certainly a different approach to using the effects loop of your amp, but doesn't sent a second signal to FOH. I like how he has the split before it hits his amp. If I do that I still need an FX block in the signal to my amp, and also have to double up any effects on the path to FOH. This video is good and I got some ideas from it though, thank you.
  3. This is what I figured out on my own although it doesn't leave much DSP for effects. It'll work for what I need on this set which is pretty straightforward country so I'm just running compression, a boost, delay and reverb. So I'm still wondering if there's a better way to split off just the effects if I do a rock show with more effects required. Thank you for your reply, had I not messed around with it at work you would've got me there much faster!
  4. I have my first gig coming up since I've had the Helix and I would like to start setting up some patches. I had an HF Effects previously and am confident about setting up 4CM with my amp, but I would like to set up a seperate DI output to the PA that also has an amp and cab sim in that stream. I think I know how to do it but any tips or outright rules and advice would be appreciated. I don't have a PA to test this on at the moment but we will have one for rehearsals in a few weeks so I would like to have this roughly sorted before then. I have searched the forums but seems difficult to find, for me anyway. Thank you!
