Hey Phil, Thanks for the response. The HD500 and AMP are plugged into the same outlet (I assume that's what you are referring to). I'll check out the setup options again. It didn't seem like hearing the noise would be normal. I'll have to play around with it a bit more.

I'm using my HD500 effects only with FX Loops (no amp modeling) going into my Mesa using the 4CM method. Few issues that I'm having. The tempo tap is making a noise when it blinks through the amp (is this normal, and if so, how to silence the tap tempo). Also, when using the HD500 as a M13, does the noise gate actually work in the traditional sense, or is it only effectlive when using it within the HD500 and amp modeling.
