  1. OK. I read this thread and all the FACEBOOK material. I don't understand any of it. I just want TO BUY a VDI dongle that I can put into my VARIAX Standard VDI port that attaches to a standard wireless guitar system transmitter (or have a wireless transmitter built in). I'm only starting to understand the 'power' requirements the VARIAX needs via the VDI (but not really sure). Is it possible to hook up my VARIAX standard to a wireless guitar transmitter so that I can use all the various guitars on the VARIAX wirelessly to any sound source that also accepts a wireless receiver?
  2. Actually I've found that running the acoustic models through a powered mixer make them sound a lot better; at least in live settings. Not sure about recording.
  3. I have one of the original Variax guitars (500) and I put a GK3 on it. Use it with a Roland GR-33. Just have to be careful about distance between strings and gk3 pup. The Roland allows for some tweaking if the distance isn't just right; note SOME tweaking. I've been thinking about getting a Standard and adding a gk3; just haven't had the guts to pull the trigger on that decision. The 500 doesn't have pickups so the installation was easier than I imagine would be with the Standard with pickups. I might let the dealer tech do the gk3 install along with the setup on the Standard next time around.
