Thanks, Hurghanico. Much to my embarrassment, I found the problem was with the input to the sound system it was plugged into, not Pod HD itself - PodHD is actually working fine! Must remember these things in future! Thanks for your help anyway.

Recently switched on Pod HD500X after three months of injury-forced layoff. Unit appears to have all presets and foot switches functioning, but there is no incoming signal detected. Regardless of cable or instrument plugged in, Pod seems convinced that there is no incoming signal, and remains completely silent.
