  1. It would appear (answering my own question here....) that more than just a couple of the micro-switches are worn out. After making up a test lead and shorting the top pin of a micro-switch to the bottom pin of the same switch, the function changed immediately. The good news there is that: - the ribbon cable is good - the PCB traces are intact - the solder re-flow work was successful. - the main processor and all tracked back to the ribbon cable breakout are intact. So now to determine the microswitch part, order and replace. It will live to gig again ....LOL
  2. Has anyone figured out the logic of the micro-switches that activate the various functions on a POD XTL? Mine has some switches that are intermittent, and few have stopped working all together. I'm tracing out the lines of the Bank down / A / B / C / D PCB and I have continuity from each micro-switch back to the pin header, but when I activate a known working micro-switch, I don't see a change of state from OPEN to SHORT (When I press the micro switch actuator, I would expect to see it go from either OPEN to SHORT or the other way around) Many years as a board level repair tech, am familiar with test equipment and such. Kind of stumped by this seemingly simple board.
  3. I searched the KB and Forums before posting, didn't find anything relevant. Can anyone tell me the pinout of a Line 6 Ethernet cable? is it standard Ethernet... 568A or 568B, or is it something proprietary for line 6? I need to repair mine.
  4. I uploaded the Bundle file from my POD XTL to my POD XT. The idea was to leave the POD XT at rehearsal and reduce the gear I'm tripping around. A couple (we more than a couple) of the patches sounds radically different when I A/B them. Tech support has identifed that it's due to the FX Junkie pack on the XTL. One of the tones uses the Killer X drive model. I'm looking for something close to that. ANyone have suggestions?
