    I just tried this with my HD500X and my new DSL40CR. I simply removed the Marshall foot switch, plugged a MIDI cable from the out on the POD to the in on the Marshall. Foot switch A switches to classic gain green, B switches to classic gain red, C to OD green, and D to OD Red. Nothing to program, switches flawlessly.
