I had my helix freezing up every time I would try to edit a block from an empty user preset. This has been since I bought it last July. It would only freeze trying to select what model I wanted to use from any category. I spent alot of time trouble shooting the unit, connections cables and so on. I just found the problem. I was using a Mission expression pedal that was designed for the helix. If I unhooked the toe switch from the pedal it went away. I found the toe switch should have been a mono cable and I was using a TRS cable. Strange that it would work correctly when using it but would cause the blocks to freeze when programming. Now that i swapped out the cable I have zero freeze issues.

I have a mint condition only used in my studio Line 6 Helix rack and controller with original boxes. Bought from SweetWater last July. Its listed on thegearpage.net

I have an issue with my Helix rack. If I go to user presets(the ones that are blank no block loaded) and try to build my own preset the unit freezes up. Line 6 support has been not been very helpful. The unit did this when it arrived so I upgraded the firmware to 2.01 with latest and greatest line 6 updater. Unit still freezes up. line 6 support keeps asking me the same questions of are you sure you using the the most currant line6 updater, are you sure your uploading the 2.01 firm ware. They said I even need the 2.01 editor when I'm not even using the editor! This problem happens from the front panel of the Helix when using what they call the joystick even though it hasn't given me much joy! I have done all this updating over about 4 times trying to get it to work. Note: Yes, I do realize that after the update I have to hold down knob 5, 6 below the screen to rebuild the factory presets and IR's Anyone have any Idea what the issue may be?
