From the Helix manual:
"S/PDIF digital in only. If a Variax input (or Multi input, which includes Variax) exists on another Input block within the preset, S/PDIF in will be non-selectable."
BUMMER!
I would like to use S/PDIF input from a Sonos Connect and be able to play along. This works great using the 1/4" guitar input. However, Helix will not allow Variax input at the same time while using 2 separate paths. I've attached an image of the patch for reference.
I can plug in both 1/4 and Variax connections together to power the Variax but no communication or audio input is available without using 1/4" input in this scenario. It also is not possible to use Workbench HD (Helix is connected USB to the Mac) at the same time
Any one else interested in a similar configuration? Could using S/PDIF and Variax at the same time be something offered with a firmware update????
