  1. Hi guys, So yeah, can't decide between the two. Both have their pros and cons. I like the idea of a head and cab. Mainly because I've had problems in the past with combos rattling, due to the chassis being built in around the speaker. Which then eventually vibrates stuff loose. At least, I think that's what happens. That being said, I did have a Spider Valve MKI 112, and never had that problem with it. Also, I loved it. I think you get a fuller sound from the tubes too. Cuts through the mix better. What's people's opinions of the Spider Valve MKII 112? Cheers.

  3. Yeah, I have tried saving it in a different location, and as previously mentioned, I do have the latest firmware. In the end, I have just ended up changing the setting from red 'blues' to green 'blues', and there is no problem. But it's still quite annoying in principal.
  4. Thanks for the response. Yeah, I saved it over one of the presets in location 12C. I just edited the patch that was already in that location, saved it, then 'send selected' to the amp. It only seems to be a problem with this one patch, using my custom red 'blues' setting. I don't understand why that would be. I've tried deleting and re saving the patch, factory resetting etc. Nothing seems to be solving the problem. It's incredibly annoying.
  5. Hello, I'm having this very irritating issue at the moment. Basically, I've created a custom tone using the red 'Blues' setting on my Spider IV 75 amp. Sometimes when I switch to it, it's how I want it to be. Then other times it seems like all the mids have been scooped out, or like I've turned the tone down on my guitar when I clearly haven't. It's 50/50 as to which tone I will get. I used 'Spider Edit' to create the tone, which I have saved. My amp and FBV Express MKII pedal both have the latest firmware. Since discovering this problem, I've tried factory resetting the amp then re-sending the tone to the amp, and also just re- saving the tone using the amp itself. But the problem still remains. Has anyone else had this, or a similar issue? It's doing my nut in. I'd appreciate some help or advice. Many thanks.
  6. Thanks for the response. Much appreciated. I tried disabling the firewall too, with the same result. The frustrating thing is that my computer recognizes the FBV. It appears in 'sound, video and game controllers'. Ironically, the two things that won't recognize it are Line 6 Monkey and Line 6 FBV Control. The two pieces of software designed specifically for use with the FBV. If it's a common issue, then it's a bit of a joke really. And something Line 6 need to sort out as soon as possible. I want to get this sorted and running on my computer now!
  7. Hello, I've updated Line 6 Monkey, and attempted to update the FBV Express MKii, but with no success. I get this message; 'fbv express mkii update failed code 80000002...'. It tells me to make sure that the cables are connected. Which they are. Well... the cable. The USB cable. When I open Line 6 Monkey, it says that it can't detect what device I'm using, and asks me to select from a drop down menu that does not contain the FBV Express MKii. Which is pretty annoying. So I use the 'connect using MIDI option, and then select the FBV in the 'midi in' and 'midi out' boxes etc. The thing is, there are no midi inputs or outputs on the FBV. I do have an M-audio Midisport 1x1 midi interface. But in the manual, it doesn't say anywhere that you'll require a midi interface of any sort. What the Hell's going on? I'd appreciate some help thanks.
  8. And I've also tried turning off my anti virus/ spyware software as suggested in this thread... http://line6.com/support/topic/2680-fbv-express-mk11-message/

  10. Forgive my ignorance, but having not intentionally saved it, how do I remove it? is it possible to do so through the amp without connecting to a computer? Also, may it be in need of an update? Considering that I only purchased it yesterday? Many thanks.
  11. Ok... Sorry to start another thread, but I've just purchased a Spider IV 75 and am just getting used to it. So, I'm having another slight issue. When using the looper, I've noticed that the volume of the riff or whatever seems to be louder at the beginning of the loop. So when it restarts, it comes in loud, and then gets quieter; It's a bit annoying. At first I thought it might just be the way I was playing. But I intentionally tried to play the first note of the riff quieter, and still had the same result. Anyone else noticed this? Cheers.
  12. Hello, I'm having a slight issue with my FBV Express pedal, in that on my custom user settings, in the 'D' bank, where I've stored my 'insane' solo setting, when I attempt to switch from volume to wah using the FBV pedal, both voulme and wah light up, and it changes to pitch shifter instead :-/ I did a Google search and came across this thread... http://uk.line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/49924 But this solution didn't work for me. As when I pressed the 'Preset' knob (although in this thread it says 'reset' button. But I'm assuming that's a typo) and then scroll through, I can't find 'wah' anywhere. So, how do I rectify this please? I'd appreciate some help. Cheers.
  13. Hello, As the title suggests, I'm getting an unwanted delay when I plug my UX1 into one of the USB ports on my laptop. The delay isn't there when I use the other USB port. But the one in which it works properly is in the way where I want my mouse. So it's pretty irritating. I'm running Windows 7 on an Acer laptop. I'd appreciate some help. Many thanks, Steve.
