  1. Hi Everyone, Sorry if I'm posting about something that's already been fixed or talked about by others. So I picked up the EVH 5150 head and cabinet today, and immediately noticed the issue with the volume drop between channels 1 and 2 (i.e. green and blue). One solution that I found that so far seems to work at bedroom volumes is to use the Pod's volume pedal effect, and change the controller settings so the expression pedal doesn't increase or decrease the volume. It seems this is the only way to have a programmed volume for patches that don't have the amp simulator turned on. To do this, activate the volume pedal anywhere in the effects chain, then set the volume to 50%. Double press the "move" button to access controller settings, then turn knob 2 to turn off the controller from expression pedal to off. So, this is for you guys who want to use the EVH head with the Pod, but have the option of having patches that are free of any effects/simulators in the Pod. The volume pedal effect didn't seem to color the sound, as far as I can tell. Another option would be to use the boost compressor on all of the clean channels, which I also did. I'd be interested to hear how or if this works out for others. I'm planning on using this at an outdoor gig at the end of April.
