jwc54 Posted November 7, 2014 Share Posted November 7, 2014 Hey everyone, This may be a matter of opinion, but I'd like to hear what you guys think. If I run the hd500x straight to a spider 3 half stack, will it sound like garbage? I'm out of options short of buying the pod and fiddling with it. I can't connect with the 4 cable method, so I'd have to run one cable from the L/mono to the guitar input on the amp and then plug the guitar into the pod. I can bypass the preamp on the spider (hidden function) which I think would help, but I'm not completely sure. If any of you have experience with this sort of set up, I'd appreciate your input. I want to get the best sound out of this set up until maybe I buy a new amp a few years down the road, but if the hd500x isn't fully compatible with a spider 3, I might skip out.
