Gibson-Goldy
Hi there, I own a fireball 60 from Engl and I own a line6 hd500. I connected it all with the 4 cable method, but I wanna add my z11 midi switcher. Can someone tell me how I connect these things together? For what it is worth...I wanna use 4 channels from my pod as a footswitch max. Any help is very welcome! Thanks! Rick.
pugdealer
You need to program the appropriate MIDI commands on the pod to match the ones on the other device. in this case ( ) it's a DAW, but when the tutorial talks about controlling the POD from the DAW, the principle stands, just think of the POD as the device you're trying to control the POD with now. The tutorial explains how to program both "directions", so if you want to control a device from the POD you'll either have a list of MIDI commands that do things or you'll just program whatever on the POD and put the device oh LEARN mode if it has such a mode. Hope I could help

pugdealer
Just seen the video. This is a set up for a audio interface. I wanna use it to switch the channels of my amp..so no interface. Any advice? The principle/tutorial still stands, you'll just connect the MIDI cables to your AMP rather than an interface. You'll actually only need 1 MIDI cable going from the POD's OUT to your AMP's IN
Gibson-Goldy
I take it you mean to my midi switcher in? And from there, 1/4" jack to my amp? Regards. Rick
