TheMusicEclectic
I have an Amplifi 150 and I really like it, but it does not cut the mustard for using a Baritone Guitar. I play classical/finger style on the Baritone and want to get a very clean, well defined sound with some added effects. I get a very clean, well defined sound running my Baritone through a Roland KC-550 keyboard amp, but that amp lacks effects. I have tried a Boss GT-10 in the past and did not get good results with the Baritone (maybe I did not spend enough time with it). I would love to be able to use an AmplifiTT with the KC-550 as I already understand and like the Amplifi iOS interface, but am not sure if I will get a muddy or defined sound running the Baritone thru the AmplifiTT into the Roland amp. Thanks.
TheMusicEclectic
I finally got my Amplifi TT (it was back ordered) and am happy to say that it works well with my PRS Baritone and my Roland KC-550 Keyboard Amp. I am able to get clean tones from the setup while playing finger style. I have even plugged in an extended scale bass and was able to get acceptable tones from it as well. I do enjoy playing my reportire in the baritone range, it helps make me be aware of the different voicings and the intervals between the notes. In comparing the Amplify 150 with the Amplify TT/Roland 550 using a guitar there is a much more bass with the Roland 550 and its 15" speaker, which helps tame the piezo quack of mu Godin nylon string guitar. I am happy with the setup.
