HD500x Separate Piezo & Magnetic output

Hello Forum,

I'm fairly new to the whole Pod HD thing, just recently got myself a HD500x.
The main reason I got one is because I am a heavy effects user, the reason why is because I play in a 'Porcupine Tree' tribute band.

My guitar is equipped with magnetic pickups and a Piezo bridge, both with a separate output on the guitar.

Since the HD500x does very well with two inputs and signal chains, I was really pleased with the result in switching from magnetic to piezo on separate outputs (Magnetic -> Amp, and piezo -> House, with the help of the Pan Expression pedal FX). But what I couldn't get to to work was a preset where both magnetic and piezo were active, and also went out through their designated separate out put (the amp/FOH split). Instead I get both signals over my amp and my simulated FOH. (Audio interface), and can't pan them out.
Is this even possible? and if so, what am I doing wrong?

Kind regards,
Kieran.

Presuming that you have set the inputs correctly - Input 1 to guitar, Input 2 to Aux (or whatever you plugged the peizo pickup into) and then maintain separate paths - the mixer defaults to hard panning Input 1 to Left and Input 2 to Right, so the only other thing to watch is that some effects are mono and will sum the signals while others are true mono.

The JTV Variax can send Magnetics and Modelled guitars separately to an HD500 allowing them to do what you are doing
