One app on my iPad acting funny...

Hi.

I send backing sound from my iPad to my helix to play along with.

 

I have an app called tab toolkit that plays tab pro tabs for me and I mute the guitar tab and play along as the guitarist.

 

If I connect my iPad to the helix using the camera connection kit to the usb port on the helix and listen through my headphones the audio only comes through one ear only. Not stereo.

 

Now if I use other audio apps, or play a song on iTunes it comes through as stereo.

 

if I plug headphones to my iPad directly and listen to the tab toolkit app its stereo.

 

Anyone else use that app can check this behavior to see if it's the app.

I just tried this with the app Tab Pro and same issue. But guitar pro and songster work correctly.

 

Is it possible that for apps to produce sound correctly through the lightning port with the camera connection kit that they have to be coded in a certain way and that tab toolkit and tab pro both were not coded correctly?

 

I did find a workaround. If you go into accessability on the iPad and set the sound to mono then you can hear the sound in both ears.

 

But I would like to know if it is an issue with the apps themselves or is it possibly an issue with the camera connection kit? I purchased the newer version of the camera connection kit that is USB 3 and I wonder if I should try the one that USB two.

 

But if anyone here uses Tab pro or tab toolkit please let me know if you're set a similar behavior.
