funkfish Posted July 7, 2016 Share Posted July 7, 2016 So when it comes to designing sounds with synthesizers I'd say I have a pretty solid ear, however when it come to guitar tones I really struggle beyond anything more than single coil vs humbucker and hi vs low gain. Anyways I'm trying to model the guitar tone of two parts off this record and I wanted to see if anyone had some advice. https://soundcloud.com/kasabian/re-wired The first tone is the simple palm muted riff that starts at 0:08 seconds. The second tone is the background rhythm guitar part that also starts at 0:08 seconds. If you guys have an idea on how to tackle this sound (which amp, pedals etc) I'd love to hear it.
